We run a garlic farm in Takko town, Aomori Prefecture. Our main harvest produces are garlic, rice and green soybeans. Takko town is famous for its garlic and rich natural environment. “Taccola”, our garlic flavored cola, was introduced on TV and on the internet recently.
The Sacred Cedar of Masumida Shrine, designated as an important cultural assests of the city, is close to our house. This very large cedar tree is a popular attraction of Takko!
・In October, there is an event called the “Garlic and Bego* Festival” during which you can eat various dishes such as as whole roasted Takko Beef and beef tendon stew. We also have the World Garlic Throwing Contest.
